12v Led LightsOur kitchen ceiling has 12 recessed lights in total and I`m worried about the effect they are having on our electricity bill. In the winter months we can spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen of an evening and all 12 units will be blazing away. The lights were already in the house when we bought it and I could replace them but I still like the way that they look. Instead I`m thinking of changing them to
12v Led Lights and this way they should last longer and cost less money to run. Years ago I would never have entertained the thought of using
12v Led Lights in our home but lighting technology has moved on in leaps and bounds in the past couple of years. Today you can buy
12v Led Lights that compete directly with conventional units and the light levels they provide are just as good. If I could replace our existing kitchen recessed lights with led versions I`m sure we`d save a bundle on our electricity bill. Plus, another point to consider is we`d be doing our bit to reduce our carbon footprint. Furthermore, with an expected 50,000 hours life span, I`d be changing the lights less often as well.
